You are on a roll with your fitness program... Training hard in the gym, consistent with your diet, making really good progress... And then all of a sudden you suffer an injury :-(

If you are pushing yourself in the gym it's only a matter of time before you get an injury of some sort. You're going to pull something, strain something, tear something, etc.

Even if you are very careful with your training, it's pretty much guaranteed to happen to everyone at some point. And when it does it can be very frustrating. Many people get depressed and down on themselves after an injury, sometimes quitting working out altogether and letting the diet go out the window. But this is the worst thing you can do.

If you do suffer an injury the first thing you should do is stop and get it checked out by a medical professional and follow their advice as far as injury rehab is concerned.

After that you need to change your training focus on figure out what you can still do, rather than getting hung up on what you can't do.

In the case of a knee injury, you probably won't be able to train legs. But you should be able to still train your upper body. If you have a shoulder injury, you should still be able to train your lower body. Etc.

Use this time to focus on improving where you can and modify your workouts accordingly. Don't simply give up because you're injured. If you take the right approach, getting an injury will only be a minor set back. It doesn't mean you're going to lose all your hard earned gains.
