HOW TO KILL AIPTASIA ( saltwater pest ) Part 1

Hello everyone and thank you for watching.
In this video I will be showing you a few ideas I have to eliminate the aiptasia pest that I have infesting my tank and liverock. This is a serious issue that I need to resolve asap.
With the lack of attention on the reef tank slowly the aiptasia started to multiply all over my liverock.
I also have some bubble tip anemones on the liverock that I try and rescue by attempting to remove the anemones off of the liverock.
It took me roughly 25 minutes to try and remove the anemones from the liverock. One method that I tried was to get a submersible pump with a half inch hose and try and blow the anemones off of the rock and hope within a few minutes that the anemones would shrivel up and want to detach from the liverock. From my trial and error i noticed that the pump and hose alone was not going to work for me. so i decided to try and scrap at the base ( foot ) of the anemone with a old razor blade, as I did not want to use a new razor blade that was sharp. If I used a sharp new razor blade I would have increased the chances of my accidentally cutting the anemone and possibly hurting it or killing it. With some patients and consistency I was successful enough to remove all of the anemones from the liverock.
The reason for me removing the anemones from the liverock was so I can KILL THE AIPTASIA and remove the liverock completely from my display tank and dry it out. Dry it outside for a few weeks or months.
As I was in no rush to put back those pieces of liverock back into my tank any time soon. Unless I knew 100% that the aiptasia on the liverock was all dead. So once the anemones were off the liverock i was able to remove the pieces of liverock that have the aiptasia on and bring it outside to dry and die.

My next step was to kill or remove the aiptasia on the overflow box.

As you may have noticed I have not used any chemicals or additives or products to try and kill these pest aiptasia from my display tank.
I would like to keep it as natural as possible and remove them manual if possible. I have tried in the past some peppermint shrimp but I have not had any luck.
