The Six Measurements You Need To Take:

You will take six measurements for ordering a custom dog coat from Voyagers K9 Apparel. It is very important to take accurate measurements because your dog's measurements become the blueprint we use to make a dog coat that fits correctly on your dog. Be sure to use a flexible seamstress measuring tape, not a metal builder's tape.

Six Measurements You Need To Take:
1. Measure the Length
Find the top of your dog's shoulder blade. You can feel this right on top of the two front legs. Measure from the base of neck, between the shoulder blades, back to the beginning of the tail.

2. Measure the Chest Circumference
Wrap the measuring tape around the deepest part of your dog's chest. This is just behind the two front legs.

3. Measure the Neck Circumference
Measure around the center of your dog's neck. Measure midway between the base of the neck and behind the ears.

4. Measure the Waist Circumference
Measure the skinniest part of your dog's waist, but don't pull the tape measure too tight or let it hang too loose because this will affect in how the coat hangs on your dog. This measurement is especially important for boy dogs.

5. Measure the Underbelly Length
Measure the underbelly between the front leg and the back leg. This measurement is especially important for boy dogs.

6. Measure the Chest Width
Pull the tape measure straight across the front plane of your dog's chest.
