How to put weight on your horse - THIS WORKS!

I finally got so frustrated I made this video in my slept on bangs and no make up so yeah I fail at YouTube but whatever. The recipe: 1 scoop alfalfa or timothy hay pellets (plain old 3 qt plastic scoop from the feed store) and 1/6 of a scoop rice bran, a sprinkle of senior feed if you want to give them a reward at the end (I put it on the bottom of the pan!). Start with this much AM and PM and add feedings or increase quantity slowly until the horse is eating his fill. If he won't eat, treat for ulcers. There is no such thing as a horse that will not eat soaked food. 100 percent of ours do because we do not give them another option and we always treat new intakes for ulcers with actual omeprazole, not Cousin Rufus' Home Remedy for ulcers. THIS PUTS WEIGHT ON 40 YEAR OLDS. And yeah I'm being sarcastic af because seriously some people act like soaking feed is the equivalent of asking them to build a pyramid by hand. It isn't that hard and IT ACTUALLY WORKS. If a horse does not begin gaining on this within two weeks, you must call the vet and get bloodwork to determine what is actually wrong. This method works on horses that are too thin to tolerate sedation for tooth floating. Don't do a whole tube of wormer on a super skinny one, either. I start with Strongid C feed through and don't do a paste til they have some weight on.
