Hey everybody IHTW here!
in case you dont know Eft means juvenile newt or an unmature newt. This is a quick tutorial on how to setup a nice semi aquatic setup for newt efts in my case i used this for my chinese fire belly newt efts which are captive bred and raised by me. They are all still very young and are probably not gonna head into the water but i have it there in hopes to speed up there terrestrial stage and get them aquatic asap. Obviously i will not force them to do so but it would be easier to care for if they were.

tank setup supplies
1. small plastic tank (got mine as a model display tank from a model store)
2. acrylic sheet (found at rona or any other hardware store should have them)
3. hot glue gun with hot glue (found at any crafts store)
4. sand (store got or outside if outside be sure to boil the sand before use)
5. rocks (found outside be sure to boil them before use to prevent bringing in harmful bacteria to newts)
6. eco earth (found at petstores)
7. moss (found at petstores or outside make sure to have raised it youself so you know its safe without pesticides etc)
8. hides (random ceramic hides from a pond store or just find any small hide you can get)

This technique can also be used by adults newts only you need a much larger tank
