How to Train Your Dog: Pose for Picture

This is a 2 part series where I walk you through the process of teaching your dog to pose for a picture, explain how to properly photograph your dog just like Carli Davidson, and how to edit your dog photos like a pro using Lightroom. Lets get after it! Dingle Days VLOG 29 May 17.

You can teach your dog how to pause for flash in just a few simple steps:

1. Build the cue word. While your dog is in the pose position, reinforce him or her for remaining still and looking toward the treat; add in a pointing gesture and the word “look” or “cheese” or whatever

2. Add a person with a camera or take a selfie on timer; reinforce your dog for looking

3. Remove the lure/treat and reward the dog from where you are

4. Proof for distractions and ensure to keep the experience positive
