I was creating something in Illustrator and I wanted to make a text highlight, like the one we have on InDesign. But Illustrator doesn't have the same feature, so after lots of google searches I decided to compile everything I found out in one tutorial to help make things easier, and get rid of the white rectangles behind the text. It's still a lot of work for a simple highlight so I only advise this if you're working with logos, titles or small texts. If that's not your case I suggest you do it in InDesign, it will save you a lot of time.
