How to change Skype Name

The steps shown in this video teaches you how to change your Skype display name, which is the name people see when you appear in their contacts.

1. Go to skype.com on your browser and if you are signed in, you can view the username in the page’s top-right corner.
2. Click Sign In if you have not signed in yet and enter the password and email address.
3. Click the name in the top-right corner. This will have a drop-down menu.
4. Click on My Account which is close to the top of this drop-down.
5. Scroll downwards and choose Edit Profile. This is placed in the left side within the blue column and will open up your own profile page.
6. Choose Edit Profile which is in the upper-right portion and edit your name. Type in the new first/last name in the field in the Personal Information zone.
7. Choose Save which is the green button in the top-right portion of the page. This ensures that your name is changed and the next time you login to Skype, you will be able to view the same.
