This tutorial applies to movies stored on the DVD Optical Format, and assumes that you have a DVD-ROM for your computer. If you don't have a DVD-ROM, you can purchase an external one from Amazon or your local electronics store. In the tutorial, I use an LG WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer.

Note that you might not be able to copy certain DVDs because of DRM (digital rights management).
