The Hardware IDs is Windows' way of identifying a hardware device attached to your computer. It is an extremely important item when trying to find a Windows driver for an unknown device.
To open device manager on Windows 10, 8.1, or 8, right-click in the bottom-left corner of the screen or press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager. On Windows 7, press Windows Key + R, type devmgmt.msc into the Run dialog, and press Enter. The Device Manager can also be accessed from the Control Panel or with a search from your Start menu or Start screen.
