Hi, Lacey here, and I'm going to show you how to look up the definition of a word on your Mac.

The first way, is if you already have a word in your head that you want to know the definition of, you can go to the spotlight in the top right hand corner and click on it and then type in any word to find the definition. Once it's in, the definition is going to be pretty far down the bottom of the list and you can hover over where it says look up, and it will show you the definition to the left of that. If you want to see more information, you can click on that and it will open up the dictionary. Now in here you can also use the thesaurus, you can look for that word on the apple website or on Wikipedia. Now if you're reading a page on the internet and you want to know what that word is, you can just find the word, take three fingers and you're going to tap.

It will highlight the word in yellow, it will give you the dictionary, thesaurus, and Wikipedia for that word. And that's it, that's how you look up words on your Mac.
