- - Sign up for my free room acoustic training videos and ebook at acousticfields.com/free-ebook-training-videos/ Today I want to explain about your room's frequency response and how and why you should measure it. So let's start with the basics, what is a room's frequency response? It's really the signature of the room, it's how the room reacts to the sound energy that is put within it.

So today I explain:

1. How the room effectively authorizes the sound you get in your room, kind of like the way you, when signing a contract, authorizes something to happen in your name,

2. Why most frequency responses are not smooth,

and

3. And how you should interpret the frequency response graph you get back after measuring your room.

As always, please leave your comments and questions and I will be happy to answer.

Thanks and see you next week

Dennis
