This instructional video guides you through how to test an EV charging cable using the insulation test function on the EV100 EVSE tester.
To test a charging cable using the insulation test:
1. First, press ON/OFF key to turn on the unit
2. Connect the test adaptor to the EV100
3. Plug the test adaptor into the charging cable under test
4. Press the Insulation key
The EV100 will show the measured insulation resistance and test voltage. When the test sequence is complete the NFC icon will appear on screen to show that data is available. Comprehensive data can be transferred to an Android device which has EVSEMobile installed.
