Unwanted Instagram followers can be removed without blocking. The process is done from within the app itself.

How to Remove Instagram Followers:

1) Launch IG
2) Tap on your profile icon to open your profile page
3) At the top of your profile you’ll see your followers and the people you’re following.
4) Tap on ‘Followers’
5) Scroll through the list of followers until you find the person you want to make unfollow you.
6) Tap on the three dots on the extreme right of the person
And confirm that you want to remove follower by tapping ‘Remove’.
