Description from the creator

Repairing the wood structure under a typical couch.

Chapters:
0:00 What's the Damage?
0:23 Removing the Staples/Cleanup
4:11 Inside the couch/Toddler Commentary
5:45 More Staple Tips/Damage from loose fasteners
7:12 Finding the problem
8:25 The solution
9:00 Cutting the Nails
11:00 Tools needed for final fix
13:00 Clamping/squaring up
16:35 Fasteners for the Win
18:30 Replace the Felt

First few minutes are blurrier than I would have hoped but get past that it gets much better. Skip to 6:39 to jump past removing the felt underneath.

Things you will need: A drill, appropriately sized wood screws or coarse screws, a square, diagonal cutters (aka dikes or wire cutters), a staple gun and staples, clamps, wood glue and you may also need a saw and wood depending on severity of the issue.

5 years after I posted this video I updated with Chapters to make it easier to view. I still use the couch, It is still beaten by children daily and it still does not squeak or sag. Cheers!
