Description from the creator

An easy way to diagnose and locate coolant leaks form hoses in your cooling system. And a rudimentary replacement of a radiator hose. As always this is how I replaced my hose and it should be done by a professional. I made sure the car and cooling system was cool before I attempted to work on the car.

Another way is to look for drips and dried or caked flakes on the engine or hoses.

A huge sign of a leak is loss of coolant form the expansion tank or low coolant level in radiator.
Be careful with heat shields. They often hide the leak so check behind and under them.

Often there is bubble or gurgles from the engine when you drive or make turns. This means there’s air in the cooling system because you have lost coolant volume.

Coolant comes in traditional green. But now they can red or pink, blue, purple, orange and yellow. Auto makers always try to make things harder for the DYIers.
