Description from the creator

This is Chris Nicholson’s sixth race – he knows the Volvo Ocean Race inside out and he’s never short on a view.
So, as we visited the teams here in Cardiff during the stopover we started by asking him what it had been like on board when AkzoNobel had set the new 24hour distance record of 601.63 miles.
Bu it didn’t take long before we were talking about the remaining two legs and what lies in store.
With just three points separating the top three boats and with Donfeng looking likely to take the bonus point for the best elapsed time overall, the 2018 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race is tighter than in any previous race in its 45 year history.
Here’s what Nicholson had to say.
