In this Pro Tips 4U video, Shaun Gayle talks about Tackling. Learn the secrets of why tackling is an attitude, why you should always keep your head up for safety, what the proper body position is, why you shouldn't bend at the waist, how to step and shoot your arms up and how to lock up the ball carrier.
Shaun Gayle is a retired cornerback/safety. He played 12 seasons in the NFL, 11 for the Chicago Bears (1984--1994), and one for the San Diego Chargers (1995). He was a member of the Bears squad that won Super Bowl XX in 1985. He was also a member of the "Shuffling Crew" in the video The Super Bowl Shuffle. Shaun attended Ohio State University. He owns the distinction of returning the shortest punt for a touchdown in NFL history, when he returned a punt five yards for a touchdown against the New York Giants in the Bears 1985 divisional playoff victory.

Shaun's instructional football training videos for Pro Tips 4U focus on drills and skills to improve your play in the secondary. His tips include how to strip the ball, the proper way to tackle, how to back pedal, breaking on the ball, how to play bump and run defense and the cone drill.
