Description from the creator

In this BJJ technique video I share a simple idea on escaping side control when someone is super tight. I'm using the lapel to help (since it's there) but you can use this same setup in no gi jiu-jitsu as well. Just make sure the bicep is across the face.

The big thing I really wanted to stress in this side control escape video is to be mindful of where you are pushing with your frames. Many beginners use their basic frames and push right into the power of the person on top. Meaning they push towards their legs and feet which means they get absolutely no where. But if we simply change the angle we're pushing we can get a lot more mileage from our frames and bridges.

So if you're getting stuck in side control when your doing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu then I hope this video is helpful!
