How to hang a HEAVY BAG in your garage

There are many ways how you can accomplish this:
*We could hang the bag from the ceiling.
*We could mount it on the wall.
*We also could just simply get a stand for it, which costs around 250 - 300 dollars.
I was seriously considering that, but I decided no to go that route. First of all, it's a bit pricey, secondly, it will take a lot of space, and I don't want that.

My heavy weighs at 100 pounds, so whatever option I chose it absolutely has to be a sturdy mount and I have to make sure I don't damage the walls or the ceiling. A 100-pound bag can definitely cause some serious structural damage if it's not mounted properly.

After some thinking, I decided to go with a beam across the room from one sidewall.

To do that first things first - you need to find where the structural trusses in the walls are!

The first thing you need is a truss finder!

Now get your ass off the couch and hang a bag in your garage!
