Description from the creator

Tired of glue-stick chaos? Glue sponges are a fast, no-mess alternative that build fine-motor skills and make centers run smoother—especially in special education and inclusion settings. In this video, I show how to make them, which containers work best, and classroom routines so students (and paras!) can use them independently.

You’ll learn:
Best containers and sponge sizes (individual vs. table share)
Exact glue amounts (how much per container size) and why overnight soak matters
Daily routines: opening/closing lids, adding glue, preventing mold
Behavioral & sensory tips for successful use in SPED and inclusion

Quick How-To:
1. Place a clean sponge in a tight-lidded container.
2. Pour Elmer’s® white glue evenly over top (about ½ bottle for small individual containers; 1–1½ bottles for sandwich-size).
3. Cover and let sit overnight.
4. Use by dabbing paper pieces on the sponge—no more glue-stick crumble!
5. Reseal after use; add glue as needed over time.

Optional: Make glitter glue sponges or set up mini travel-sized versions for inclusion.
