In this snip we'll connect to our Azure File storage using New-PSDrive , we'll then use Get-Childitem to retrieve a directory listing and then use where-object to search the results to find any new files that have been added to the account in the last 5 minutes. The output can be written to the console, an event log or a text file. Nick will take you through the code step by step and show you where to find the information within the Azure portal for accessing your file storage. This code could be used as part of a function or script that you can schedule every xx minutes, hours or days to check the file storage aspect of your Azure storage account.
