One of the key differences between a Facebook group compared with a Facebook page or even your personal account is that you can actually upload some files PDF, Word documents etc directly to your Facebook group. In this video I'll show you how. Here we go.

So the simplest way to add a file is to go to the area where you'd normally post click here on the more' button and then select add file. Notice also you can actually select create doc. That allows you to create a simple blog style article that's got
some basic information in it. You can have a picture etc but if you have an actual file ready to upload click here for more and click add file. You can obviously as with any post put some
detail in. One thing just to be aware of is that you can't add a photo to go with that post you can simply put the post explaining what the document is about and then add the file. So you just go and do a standard browse to the computer the maximum size of course is 100 MB as it says there so be aware of that. I'll just
go to the directory I want, click on it select open and then simply post.

Now there's two places you can see that document that you've just uploaded. Firstly in the newsfeed itself for the group and notice here you can actually even add categories about this post and here if we click on the three dots you can make it an announcement if that feature is available in your group.

And even more interestingly you can add it to a unit so here for example I've got a complete social media training toolkit and if I add it to that section and just give it a title Linkedin training Add to unit. Somebody can click on unit so I do cover this in another video which I'll link to in the description. You can see that under the units you can go to complete social media training toolkit where you can access a number of different documents in one place. Of course you can already access documents in one place under the files tab and basically go in the order in which they were uploaded so the most recent one goes to the top. As you can see I've uploaded mainly Acrobat Reader so PDF so read-only documents which is probably the best format but if you're happy to allow people to download editable documents you could do that as well. They can simply click on the three dots and select download. If it's you that has published it you are actually able to upload a revised version of it. So you've made some changes you want to let people know so you can say upload a revision and you can always link to the original
post where you shared it.

So I hope that's give you some ideas of how you can use the ability to upload files directly into Facebook groups. Do check out my free social media training group that's basically free social media training all one word answer a couple of quick
questions and you'll be added to the group where you'll see every Tuesday latest topics coming up on social media plus lots of these training units and a growing community of people there to
help you get more out of social media. Thanks again for listening I'm Paul from PRwilson media your social media personal trainer Cheers
