How to Wear Invisalign Aligners

Congratulations, you've started your Invisalign treatment! This video will help you care for your Invisalign aligners, to keep them clean and working properly - and your treatment on track towards a beautiful, healthy smile!

Clean Your Aligners Before Wearing

Wash your hands with soap and water, and handle only one aligner at a time. Your aligners are labeled clearly for easy insertion.

Push gently on the aligners to insert them over your teeth, pressing on the back ends of the aligners over the molars to snap the, gently into place.

Remove Aligners Before Eating, and Wash Before Re-Inserting

Remember to remove aligners for every meal or snack: eating food or drinking anything but water can damage or discolor your aligners!

If you can, brush your teeth after every meal or snack, but if you don't have a toothbrush, rinse your mouth out with water and rinse the aligners under warm running water before putting back in your mouth.

Be sure to store them properly in their case when they're not in your mouth, to prevent damage or loss of your aligners.

Try to wear them at least 22 hours a day, and drink nothing but water while they're in.

Invisalign Aligners Are Easy to Remove

Simply hook your finger over the edge of the aligner in the back of the molar to pull it from your teeth and remove it from your mouth.

when you start a new set of aligners, put them in at night and wear for at least 12 hours. If you feel minor discomfort from the new aligners, ask you doctor about taking an over-the-counter pain reliever. Usually, discomfort disappears within a day or two.

These tips will help you keep your Invisalign treatment on track, progressing smoothly towards results that will keep you smiling!
