How to Shoot With One Hand | Support Hand Shooting | Tactical Rifleman

I was shooting a USPSA match a few years back, and I got to a stage where the RSO read the stage description stating that this stage had to be shot "Weak-Hand only." He went on to say that both hands could be used to reload and handle malfunctions. So, why did I shoot it "Weak-Hand only"? Well, because the RSO said I had to.
Why would I have to shoot one-handed in real life? Maybe I'm carrying a litter. Maybe I'm holding onto a Ladder. Maybe my other arm is incapacitated due to an injury. Whatever the situation is, if I need to shoot one-handed, then I also need to be able to reduce malfunctions and perform reloads.
Hard? Yes. Impossible? No. Unsafe? Yes, IF you do it wrong. Which is exactly why you need to practice it in a safe, classroom/flatrange environment.
If an operator has to transition from his long-gun to his pistol, he is having a bad day. If he has a pistol jam, he is having a VERY bad day. If he is injured to the point that he can't use one arm and STILL has a pistol jam; well, he is probably having the worst day of his life.
Finding yourself in this situation is NOT the time for you to be trying to "figure out" how to do a one-handed reload.
So, watch the video a few times, practice these drills dry; then get out to the range and master one-handed shooting, to include Draw, Malfunctions, and Reloads.
