Description from the creator

So you're excited or nervous or anxious or afraid about something...and you'd love to know how to calm yourself down and relax. Maybe you're about to give a speech, or get on a plane, or meet an important client or maybe you see someone attractive across the room and are trying to work up the nerve to go over and introduce yourself.

We're always in situations like these, where we get all nerved-up, and once everything is over we usually think "geez, I wish I could have a do-over so I could have handled everything better".

Well, you don't need a do over. You can actually calm yourself down pretty quickly, on the spot, in any situation by breathing a weird little way. Don't blink, here it comes:

You are going to breath in and out through your NOSE for 4 breaths.

You are going to breath in and out through your MOUTH for 4 breaths.

You are going to breath in and out of BOTH your NOSE and MOUTH for 4 breaths.

And then you're going to repeat this cycle, for a total of 4 times. Check yourself. How are the nerves? Are you calmed down? Then answer is almost always YES. But not completely. Maybe a little bit of stuff is still swirling around. And that can actually be a good thing, depending upon the situation. It means you've still got a little blood around the stomach that's there to help you react and perform.

But if that's not what your situation is about, simply repeat this cycle again, for a total of 4 times.
