How to Create a Facebook Icon on the Desktop?

1. Right-click on Your Desktop.
2. Select "New" and then "Shortcut."
3. Type "facebook.com"; into the Box and Click Next.
4. Type "Facebook" again, to give your Shortcut a Name.
5. Click "Finish."
6. The Shortcut will not Display the Facebook logo; instead it will show your browser's logo with the word "Facebook" below.
7. Open your Browser and go to any of the Numerous Websites that offer free Facebook icons in ICO format, Such as iconfinder.com.
8. Find a Facebook icon on the website.
9. Select the icon and Click the word "ICO" to Download the Image to your Computer.
10. Right-click the Facebook Shortcut that you just created on your Desktop.
11. Select "Properties" and then the "Web Document" tab.
12. Click "Change Icon," then Select "Browse."
13. Navigate through your directory to the folder into which you downloaded the Facebook icon.
14. Typically, this will be your "Downloads" folder.
15. Select the icon and Click "OK."
16. Click "Apply" to change the icon on your desktop.
17. Drag the Facebook icon to a desired location on your desktop.
18. Double-click the icon and Facebook Should Immediately Open in your Preferred Web browser.
