Description from the creator

Drain flies breed in the sludge coating the inside of your drain pipes. The fastest fix is a commercial drain gel — but you can also trap them with a DIY vinegar solution. Both methods shown here.

PRODUCT USED:
→ Fruit Fly & Drain Fly Killer — Commercial Drain Gel (1 Gallon): amzn.to/4uHsVuE
DIY TRAP (no product needed):
Mix equal parts water, white distilled vinegar, and sugar (about 1/4 cup each) + 5–10 drops of dish soap. Leave a bowl near each drain overnight. Check daily. Repeat until drain flies are gone.
BAKING SODA + VINEGAR METHOD:
Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, follow with 1/2 cup white vinegar. Let it fizz for 15 minutes, then flush with boiling water. Kills the biofilm the flies breed in.
PRO TIP: The flies live in the drain walls, not in standing water. Scrub the inside of the pipe with a drain brush for the most effective results.
