Description from the creator

Instructions on how to install a 3 wire power cord to your dryer.

Living in an older home with a 3-slot laundry outlet? In this video, I will show you exactly how to safely install a 3-wire power cord (3-prong plug) onto your electric dryer.

While a 4-wire cord separates the ground and neutral, a 3-wire cord combines them at the center terminal. I'll show you the exact wiring layout (Line 1, Neutral, Line 2) and explain the critical role of the dryer's built-in grounding strap so your machine is safely grounded.

⚠️ SAFETY FIRST: Always make sure the dryer is completely unplugged from the wall before removing the terminal block access cover! If you are replacing an existing cord, double-check that the circuit breaker is shut off before handling the wires. Always, follow the Installation Instruction provided with your appliance.
