There is something so classic about a beautifully piped cake. I have always loved the classic wedding cake look, and have been thrilled to see the vintage cake look make a come back. The style of orate piping was originally made popular by Joseph Lambeth, and is traditionally done with royal icing. In this tutorial, I’ll show you my easier take on the Lambeth method, using buttercream and basic piping skills. The biggest take away? Measure and mark your cake, and when you think your done decorating- pipe some more! This method is known for over-piping!
