- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- ¼ cup (25 g) cocoa powder
- ¼ cup (30 g) cornstarch
- Pinch of salt
- 2½ cups (600 ml) milk
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
- 2 tbsp (28 g) butter
