In this video I have shown how to delete any file or folder using only command prompt.

Use of command prompt sometimes helps for the files which you can not delete by pressing delete button. there is specefic command for the files and folders.

One thing you should know that every file has h extension like for the image file it would be .jpg or .png etc, for the pdf file it will be .pdf . For the microsoft document file it would be .docx etc. You can check it file right click on the file then on properties you can see it.

So important thing is that whenever file name is written in the cmd, it always comes with the extension like image.jpg document.docx etc. Remember folders do not have any file extension they are written as it is.

One more thing suppose you have created a pdf file of name office file, then in cmd you have to write it like-
"office file.docx" means if file name is of more than one word then file name with its extension is written in the double quotation mark. Similar is for the folder also but n folder you would not write file extension.

To delete folder we use rd command whose structure is:-
rd "folder name"

To delete file we use del command whose structure is:-
del "file name.txt"
or
del "file name.jpg"
