My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect wedding. We all know that choosing bridesmaids to begin with is one difficult situation. How do you pick some over others, how do you pick enough, not too many, not too few. After that chore--which is a chore in and of itself--is the dresses. Dresses for bridesmaids are an extremely difficult situation. Not much in America is made that's a very fine quality for bridesmaids. So often time the bride will pick a color and let the bridesmaids pick their own dresses. If one does choose to order bridesmaids dresses for the bridesmaids it is always best to have each one try it on so they know that it looks good. And because they will be most unhappy all wearing the same dress, provide them with hair and makeup for the day so at least when they put on the dress that they know that somebody else looks better in, they'll feel good about themselves. This is probably the hardest chore of any wedding, which is to dress your bridesmaids.
