Snow peas are an easy vegetable to grow in the home garden. The climbing varieties are grown on a trellis. Lower growing of bush Snow Peas are well suited to container growing.

Snow peas are a cool season crop and planting time will depend on your climate zone. Look for a soil temperature of 45 degrees F (7 C) make sure the soil is draining well. In warmer zones you can plant them in autumn, colder zones in spring when that soil temperature is right.

In this video we look how to plant snow peas, how to fertilise them and we show you a simple trellis to grow them on in your own vegetable garden.
