Description from the creator

This short video shows you how to easily support your broad beans; they don’t cling on and climb so they need more support than peas. One of the easiest ways is just with canes and string. We are only supporting a short row in a raised bed but if you have a long row it will also be necessary to criss-cross the row with string. Watch out for black fly on the tender new growth; the best way to tackle the problem is just to nip out the tops when the bean plants reach about 90cm (3’). Try steaming the tops with a little butter, absolutely delicious.
