Hi, this quick video shows you how to use Apple EarPods on your Xbox One controller as earphones only without the annoying high pitched hum.
You only have to change a couple of settings on the Xbox One - Mic Monitoring and turn the Mic off.
You will only be able to use them as earphones and they will not work for the microphone so you cannot use them to chat to your friends.
