Description from the creator

Hi, this video shows you how to use Neodymium Magnets and the knocking technique to locate wall studs and also ceiling joists. If you want to put up a shelf or a television then you can get a good fixing by screwing straight into the stud. It is also useful if you want to mark out downlighters in the ceiling and do not want to drill/poke test holes everywhere. This will only work in buildings that have the plasterboard screwed (not nailed) into the wall studs and ceiling joists. I also test a lath and plaster wall / ceiling in an older house with a magnet without sucess.
This technique is only useful in a finished building where you don't want to have to repair damage caused by drilling test holes.
Many thanks Vince
