How to Be Pretty with Braces
ChannelDBoyDescription from the creator
If you are getting braces and are worried about what you are going to look like, this video will help you look amazingly beautiful with them!
You look like you're having a rough day.
I saw the dentist today. He says I have to have braces. I loathe the thought, because I don't want to look like a freak while trying to fix my teeth.
There are plenty of things you can do to look good despite wearing braces.
Can you tell me how to be pretty with braces?
Your first choice, if your teeth need minor alignment changes, is to get Invisalign braces. They are made of clear acrylic, so they're almost invisible. They'll fix your teeth, without detracting from your appearance.
Crap. The dentist said I have to have the metal braces with wires ... there are teeth that need to be rotated back in place, so Invisalign, as good as it sounds, isn't an option.
Wire braces don't have to be a drag, well, they will pull on your teeth. If you want to know how to be pretty with braces, listen up. First, take care of your teeth.
That's what braces are for.
No! Brush often. Floss regularly. Don't let food get stuck between your teeth. And certainly don't let it sit there and give you bad breath.
Got it.
If possible, do whatever the dentist says so that you don't need headgear in addition to the braces. Most people won't notice the braces unless you have head gear.
I don't have to have the headgear, but will be using the god-awful metal braces.
If you have traditional braces, ask for clear braces that aren't as noticeable as the metal ones. Or ask if you can have lingual braces, which are on the inside of the mouth inside of the outside. If that isn't an option, you could request gold colored braces. Then the braces look like decorative grills. Or get self-litigating braces; they look similar, but you don't have the awkward rubber bands in your mouth.
How do I look pretty if I'm stuck with traditional, metal braces?
Well, maintain your teeth. Follow all of the dentist's advice and get the adjustments on schedule so the braces can come off as soon as possible. Practice smiling with your mouth closed or your lips barely apart so that you don't look grumpy, but don't show off the hardware.
I'll keep that in mind. Now there's just one more problem.
What is that?
The bill ... or the pain. I can't decide which is worse.
Set up a payment plan and plan spa days for the afternoons after you've had the braces adjusted.
Great advice on both counts. Thank you so much.
