Description from the creator

In this video, I share tips that I've learned for defending the Catholic Faith. Thank you to Bonnie for requesting this video!

Jesus Christ established the Catholic Church: ewtn.com/faith/teachings/churb1.htm

Catherine of Siena Institute: siena.org

This video is so long; I had to cut a lot! Some things I couldn't fit:

▪︎I find debates on FB to be hostile and pointless since people are not open to hearing the truth if it doesn't align with their current position. (That is just my experience though. My private, personal FB page with very few friends has Jesus in my profile photo, Catholic organizations listed under "work", a Catholic university listed under "school", "catholic" listed under "religion", and quotes from saints in the "about" section... so it is clear that I am catholic and if anyone is open to what I have to say, they can contact me and/or visit my channel😊)

▪︎When discussing/debating, do you see any good fruit coming out of it? If it is just anger and hostility on both sides, better to end it in my opinion (no good fruit).

▪︎If you find yourself losing patience/kindness, I would end the discussion/debate. You cannot give someone a sip of water if your cup is not full. If you are feeling drained from a discussion, end it and fill yourself up with God's Word and His love.

▪︎Some have attacked my faith in the comments under my videos and after I respond with truth and love, they will delete the entire comment. This was frustrating to me (hey, I typed out that scripture for you!) but I believe they are either embarrassed by the contrast of their hostility and my peace and/or the holes in their theology and the truth in the catholic church. I'm at peace now because each time, it's just another opportunity for me to refresh my knowledge.

▪︎When people attack me with hostility, I sometimes respond with playful sarcasm. I need to watch that because it can be interpreted as me being mean and condescending. If we have amazing, well-informed responses, it doesn't matter if we are not responding with love --- "And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:2
