How to Explain Communion to a Child - Simple Mom Tip

How to explain communion to a child in a detailed, but short conversation. Communion, or The Lord's Supper, is our response to Jesus' sacrifice. Juice and bread are always present. Communion is a sacrament, which means that God's grace, which is a bit of a mystery, and Jesus Christ are present but we aren't quite sure how this happens.
Open Table = anyone, even children, are invited to partake of communion.

Scripture read at Communion: Luke 22:19 and 1 Corinthians 11:24.

Intinction = sharing one juice cup

Bread you may see at communion: Hawaian Bread, homemade bread, unleavened (pita) bread, thin crackers or wafers.
