Description from the creator

In late spring, early summer, your garlic produces what's called a scape, which is essentially a flower stalk. By removing the scapes once they are formed you are allowing the plant to deliver all its energy into forming your bulb, rather than the flower. As a bonus, scapes are DELICIOUS! Watch this short video to find out which part to eat, which part to discard, and which part to freeze to use later in soups and stews to add a beautiful, bright garlic flavor!
