How to bring USB stick back to life?
This USB flash drive came in looking like it had seen better days. Most of the time, these types of problems occur with USB sticks when a laptop falls on its side while the USB stick is still plugged in. PCB (printed circuit board) has to absorb the impact and begins to flex as a result. However, copper traces will not stretch much, so they will rip. Also, BGA package type ICs will not flex and will either fracture or separate from the PCB. In this case, we will cover all needed steps for inspection and rework of such device, so you can see how to bring USB stick back to like for real ;)
