This application has surpass all of my expectations. Even though you may have to pay for it, this will allow you to cast to your TV without having to pay for an expensive Apple TV.

Once you install the Air Receiver application on the Amazon Firestick, go over to your Macbook.

On your Macbook, click on the Apple, then System Preferences. From there select Displays. Make sure that the option on the bottom is checkmarked so the AirPlay Icon is showing on the menu bar.

On the menu bar, click on the Airplay Icon, and select the device name that appears to cast.

***If the Amazon Firestick is not showing on your Macbook to cast to, please make sure both wifi and bluetooth are turned on, if all fails, restart both your Macbook and Firestick.
