How to make a Facebook page for your website

Go to facebook.com/pages/create
(link in the description).

Here, select 'Brand or Product'.

Click the drop-down menu 'Choose a category',
scroll down, and select 'Website'.

Now click on the text box below that, and enter
your website name. When you're done, click
'Get Started'.

Enter a short description in your 'About' section.
Make sure to include your main keywords.

Then, enter your website URL in the next text
box, and click 'Save Info'.

For Profile Picture, you can either upload from
your computer, or import a picture from your
website.

In my case, I'm uploading from my computer.
Click 'Upload From Computer', select the picture
you want to use, and click 'open'.

The Profile picture has to be a square image
that is at least 180x180 pixels. On your page,
it'll be displayed as 160x160 pixels.

Click 'Next'.

To add your new Facebook page to your
Favorites bar (left sidebar in Facebook), click
'Add to Favorites'.

Click 'Next'.

To make Facebook target the correct audience
for your page, fill out any information on your
audience demographic here.

The demographics you can enter are locations,
age, and gender.

If you don't know your target audience
demographics, at least add your niche as a
search interest.

Click the bar to browse interests. Click the '+' to
add it. You can add multiple interests.

Click 'Save' to save your options.

Now, your page is set up. However, there are a
few more things you need to do to finish it.

To set a cover for your page, click 'Add a Cover'.
Click 'Upload Photo' to upload a picture from
your computer.

Browse to your picture, select it, and click
'open'. Your picture has to be at least 851x315
pixels in size.

Click 'Save Changes' to save your cover picture.

You can like your own page to notify your friends
that the page exists, and invite your friends to
like your page.

The last thing you need to do to completely
finish your page, is to add some more
information in the 'About'-tab.

Most of the information you add here will
improve your chances of being found on
Facebook, ...

... or to help your page visitors to find
information about your website.

Once you've edited your About page, you're
done! You can now start using Facebook by
posting to the timeline.
