In Brazil, all imported and domestic medical devices are regulated by the local health authority, Agencia National de Vigilencia Sanitaria knows as ANVISA. If you are a foreign medical device company who is planning to register your device in Brazil, you need first to appoint an authorized local representative called “Brazilian Registration Holder or (BRH) that will handle all the registration and communication with Anvisa on your behalf.
