How To Keep Boxing Gloves Fresh

Do your boxing gloves smell? In this simple How-To video, we show you how to keep boxing gloves fresh. The most common mistake people make after using their boxing gloves is to drop them in their gym bag and zip it up. This is a problem because after their use, boxing gloves are usually sweaty and wet. Over time, this makes the boxing gloves smell. Cleaning boxing gloves can be a pain, but there is one critical step you can do to care for them: Air them out!

Whether you own a boxing glove tree, similar to what you can find in a martial arts school or gym, or if you use other methods, you should absolutely be airing out your boxing gloves after every use. It’s a simple and easy step to take that will ensure your boxing gloves will last longer and degrade much more slowly. Plus, they won’t have that funky boxing glove smell. This is a good habit to get into with all of your martial arts equipment, but it’s especially important with gloves because of their shape.

Watch Revgear President and CEO Paul Reavlin show you how to keep boxing gloves fresh.
