Unsure how to safely navigate stairs and steps on your inline skates or rollerblades without slipping or rolling backward?

In this quick Skatefresh tutorial, I demonstrate 3 progressive methods to tackle stairs. Learning to conquer stairs with confidence is an essential urban skating skill for street skating.
3 Progressive Methods:

Beginner Method (Parallel Stepping):
Going Up & Down: Keep your knees deeply bent and step sideways onto each stair, leaving enough room for your other skate on the step.
Handrail Safety: Touch the rail lightly with your fingertips, but never grip tight while wearing wrist guards, as hard plastic guards will slide on metal rails and cause you to fall. Keep your knees bent over your toes and avoid straightening up as you ascend (as you would with normal stairs).

Intermediate Method (Crossovers & Cross-Behinds):
Going Up: Cross your lead skate over your supporting leg onto the next step.
Going Down: Cross behind on the way down with a deep knee bend, or cross over in front (more challenging, requiring strong toe-wheel balance and support).

Advanced Method (Walking & Running Up Steps):
Technique: Lean your torso and head forward over your toes to keep your weight centered. Walk straight up the steps, and as your confidence builds, run up two steps at a time for a fast, effortless-looking climb.
