Mounting Elkhorn Ferns or Staghorn Ferns (Platycerum bifurcatum) is not difficult both are 'Mounted' in the same way.

These ferns make great additions to the garden and are widely used in shaded spaces where they can be added to green walls.

In this video Eddie from Fern Acres demonstrates two ways to mount an Elkhorn or Staghorn Fern.

The main secret is to mount the ferns very firmly, using stockings, nylon and fishing line is not recommended.

Eddie also talks about the use of Banana Peels with these ferns are they good or bad.
