Description from the creator

Want to get emancipated from your parents? This is the easiest and fastest way to do it!

Do you know how to get emancipated?

Legally, you're free on your 18th birthday. Why the rush?

I want to get out from under my parents' thumb. They're lording over me.

They pay for your food, your housing, your medical care, your clothes -

I pay for most of my clothes. I have a part time job.

If you are emancipated, you have to earn enough to pay all your bills, not just your clothes.

I could work more once I'm out of the house.

The laws on school attendance still apply, until you are 18 or you graduate.

How else could I get emancipated, if you think I don't make enough money?

Join the military. You'll get free room and board plus a paycheck.

And they'd pay for my college.

But your parents have to approve of you joining, while the armed forces have to be willing to accept you.

That's two hurdles. Well, three, with boot camp.

You could get emancipated if you get married, though it might be hard for two of you to make it work. And the odds of divorce approach 80% at that age.

Do we have to get married? What if we moved in with his Mom but didn't marry?

Is playing house under her roof really a sign of maturity? And most states say you couldn't get married without your parents' permission anyway.

I can't stand living with them!

If you can't stand them, ask to live with another relative. If it's dangerous, ask to be put in foster care.

I've heard of kids as young as 14 getting emancipated.

And almost every single one was a child star with millions in the bank, thus able to support themselves.

If I have a baby, I'm independent.

No, you're being stupid and selfish for becoming a teenaged single mother.

I'd get welfare for the baby and could move out.

While ruining both your lives. Why don't you just run off to Hollywood?

Do you think I'd make it?

The odds are as good as getting emancipated. Or you could just ask to go to military school until you're old enough to join, since your parents would probably pay for that.
