PUP.Optional.OpenCandy is what we call, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP). It is not classed as being a Virus, but you still don't want it installed on your computer. They have a bad reputation and behavior habits once they get installed. You may notice advertisement popups and your browser maybe be affected and have you redirected to advertisement site when search for something completely different.

The first thing to learn is, only download programs from a reliable source. If the software you want to use has OpenCandy, be smart when installing software.
